Uniform

Our school colours are red and grey and all children are expected to wear our uniform.

We also ask that all children have at least one logo’d polo shirt

All children must wear our St John’s logo’d sweatshirt

Stud earrings only for pierced ears

Watches can only be worn in KS2 but these must not be SMART watches

Mobile phones are not permitted

Clothing (required)

• School sweatshirt with embroidered school crest
• White polo shirt with embroidered school crest
• Grey trousers (grey shorts optional in summer) or Grey skirt/pinafore (red and white checked dress optional in summer)
• Grey socks in  the winter or grey/red tights (white socks optional in summer)
• Sensible black footwear (not boots, trainers, fashion footwear)

PE Kit (required)

• White PE t-shirt
• Black or navy blue shorts - Please can we politely remind you that your child’s shorts for PE need to be of an appropriate style and length.
• Plain black or navy blue tracksuit bottoms for outside winter games lessons
• Plain black or navy blue top
• Plimsolls (for inside)
• Trainers (for outside)
• Hair band to tie back long hair
• No ear rings or jewellery to been worn during PE and Games lessons

Book Bags (optional but preferred)

• Book bag (Years R, 1 & 2)
• Satchel (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6)
• Back pack (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6)

Pre-Loved Uniform

The Friends of St John’s collect used school uniform which is still in good condition.

This is sold regularly throughout the school year and can be purchased on request by contacting the school office  office@st-johns-maidstone.kent.sch.uk.
