Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them.
Exodus 25:8
The Sanctuary is our sacred space for prayer and reflection built in harmony with nature within the school grounds.
It sits within the woodland; a place just to ‘be’, in tranquil contemplation replenishing our well-being.
Used for class worship, special times of prayer and as a focus point for Christian festivals, the Sanctuary is also the place to ponder ultimate questions.
We were very pleased to welcome Bishop Trevor and members of the diocese to our opening of The Sanctuary. Bishop Trevor met members of the school community, held a short ceremony to bless our new prayer and reflection area and enjoyed hearing about all of the wonderful activities that happen at our school to help us to live out our vision.
The children and staff are enjoying using The Sanctuary for times of quiet reflection, stillness and prayer.
